Dear Team,

 

It’s spring here in Michigan after a long, snowy winter.  We’re enjoying this year of Home Ministries and visiting most of you in your churches (over 50 churches make up our support team!).  But we are also looking forward to returning to Mexico and continuing with our work in Theological Education.  Our target date to return to Puebla, Mexico is August 4, 2008. 

 

As we share about the work in Mexico, God keeps confirming the vision He gave us to raise up 50 new pastors and train 50 existing pastors this next term.  I call it a “50/50 vision”.  This vision is much too big to accomplish on our own.  Even now we are building partnerships with other missionaries, Latin American leaders, Bible Schools, and the newly-launched online Wesleyan Bible School (ibwww.org).  Next week Bob will be traveling to Bogota, Colombia to meet with leaders in Latin American Theological Education. 

 

We (Mexico field) also enjoy partnerships with the Greater Ohio District, the Pacific Southwest District, and the Southwest Hispanic District of the Wesleyan Church as they help us do Theological Education in Mexico and Latin America.  But the greatest and most important partnership is with YOU!  Individuals and churches who partner with us in praying that the “Lord of the harvest would send forth workers into his harvest field.” (Mt. 9:38) Faithful supporters who give by faith believing that God will provide.  Teams who visit Mexico to work, build and teach.  Through all these, together with our great Lord of the Harvest, we firmly believe the “50/50 vision” will become a reality.

 

So, please PRAY:

 

1.       For workers in the Mexico field: 50 new students and 50 existing pastors who will study and learn to be effective church leaders.

2.       For our Faith Promise goal: $81,100 in annual support.  We are currently at 65%, and we can’t leave for Mexico until it reaches 100%.

3.       For Bob as he travels to Colombia May 12-16 to meet with other leaders in Theological Education.

If you haven’t renewed your Faith Promise in the last year, it is likely you aren’t included our current Faith Promise level.  With our target goal up nearly 20% over last term, we need all our current supporters to renew and even increase their Faith Promise.  Even a “small” amount makes a big difference.  You may renew or make a new Faith Promise for “THE GRAYS” at any of the following:
